"Providing Warmth and Hope in Every Stitch"
Joshua John Quast was a little guy that went through a lot. He had 13 surgeries in his 5 1/2 months of life. His dad and I never married but 23 years ago he brought the two of us back together. I think this was Josh’s gift to us. He passed from a brain tumor.
Jeff was a son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. Family was the cornerstone of his life. He was blessed with two granddaughters while on this earth and gained a grandson since he passed. Jeff had a twinkle in his eye for each of his granddaughters. Hunting had been in his blood since he was young and eventually graduated to Elk hunting. He shared his love with his children and wife. He turned his homestead into a wildlife sanctuary for all animals and meticulously cared for the land. He drove trucks for his grandfathers trucking company until he decided to branch off on his own. He grew his business until he decided to sell for a less stressful role as a Salesman for a trucking company that bought his business. This is where he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma stage 4. He went through 2 brain surgeries, chemo and radiation. Being there for his family and the ability to care for his customers gave him motivation to keep moving forward. He worked up until he lost his voice and could no longer communicate. He lived for almost 2 years from being diagnosed . Although he is gone from this Earth, his legacy lives on in his family and friends.
Dani was the type of girl whose smile could light up the room. She was warm, caring and bubbly. Even till the very end, the smile never left. She was always more worried about others than herself. She passed from a brain tumor.
Grace was married to Richard for 51 years. She had 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren. She married again to Bob and they shared their twilight years together. She was active in several fraternal organizations and if an organization needed to raise funds, she was always willing to organize a dinner for large groups of people. She instilled in her daughters the importance of doing for others and helping wherever and whenever possible. Always a role model, she demonstrated this belief by filling laundry baskets full of necessities to someone in need of a boost. Her generosity is carried on through her family.
