Please reach us at petesblankets@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We will take any size you wish to make and donate. Patients prefer full size throws for adults (48” x 72)” or larger the best.
We can work with most types of yarn, but acrylic, worsted weight is preferred. Acrylic makes washing and sanitizing easiest. We do not create baby blankets so those weights and colors are not needed.
Since our inception in 2019, Pete's mom has crocheted? 425! We have recently added more crocheters that have donated over 1, 057 blankets!
Feel free to use ANY pattern you like!
Yes! We have a handy donation box. Feel free to drop off at your convenience or ship to:
Pete's Blankets of Hope
1413 Hilltop Drive
Monticello, MN 55362
Please note: Pete’s Blankets does not create or donate baby blankets so the lighter weight infant yarn and colors are not needed.
Each blanket is given a name. Those names remind us of a memory of Pete. It could be a place he traveled to, a sport he was involved in or an inside family joke. Regardless, each blanket has a little memory of Pete in it.
All items are washed in Free and Clear Tide, Free and Clear Downy fabric softener and sanitizing is done in the drying cycle. After that, items are packaged into clear poly bags and ready to be donated!
Yes! We accept crocheted slippers, hats, scarves, Amigurumi animals, stuffed hearts, and quilts! Can’t crochet? We accept knitted items, too!
Please send all donations to:
Pete’s Blankets of Hope
1413 Hilltop Drive
Monticello. MN 55362
As a small nonprofit with limited resources, we're unable to cover shipping costs for sending yarn or receiving completed blankets. We truly appreciate your understanding and support.
